CoinDCX is hiring for the role of Quantitative Research Intern in Bengaluru, offering a hybrid internship opportunity focused on the intersection of financial markets and artificial intelligence within the Web3 ecosystem. The role involves working on cutting-edge research and development initiatives to build autonomous trading systems using technologies such as Large Language Models, Reinforcement Learning, and multi-agent systems. Interns will actively contribute to designing intelligent agents capable of monitoring, reasoning, and adapting to dynamic market conditions while working with high-frequency financial data. The position emphasizes hands-on innovation, collaboration with experienced quants and engineers, and direct impact on next-generation trading infrastructure, providing exposure to advanced AI applications in finance and crypto markets.
Responsibilities
Research and prototype autonomous trading agents capable of monitoring strategies and detecting market regime shifts
Apply AI techniques (Generative AI, Reinforcement Learning, Neural Networks) to optimize signal generation, order execution, and risk management
Develop intelligent monitoring frameworks to detect anomalies in trading bot behavior and strategy performance
Perform backtesting and validation of AI-driven strategies using historical tick data
Collaborate with senior quantitative researchers to translate theoretical AI concepts into practical trading tools and systems
Requirements
Eligibility & Education:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree (BS/MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or related field
Technical & Functional Skills:
Strong foundation in Machine Learning and AI concepts (including RL, Transformers, or agent-based systems)
Proficiency in Python
Experience with ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or LangChain
Ability to work with large datasets (including tick data) and perform analysis
Understanding of financial markets including order books, liquidity, and risk concepts
